Intern Specific Project
Notes: an intern‘s design magWelcome to Notes: an intern’s look into GLAAD’s branding
Notes is a magazine on branding- with a focus on GLAAD’s branding that I focused on throughout the duration of my internship with GLAAD. The project is a combination of my personal interest in layout design with the design team’s interest in updating parts of GLAAD’s branding. We work with a limited brand guideline that hasn’t been updated in a while and my Art director was noticing a lack of establishment for parts of GLAAD’s branding- such as collaborative content and certain initiatives. So this magazine seeks to inform the audience- people working at GLAAD, of the importance of good branding- and how we can push GLAAD’s branding to fulfill our mission statement.
The style for this magazine was truly born during my visit to GLAAD’s office in NYC, although I wasn’t able to see the office, I was inspired by the city where GLAAD has established itself in. Notes’ style convey’s my time growing as a graphic design intern with GLAAD
In this magazine, I discuss the importance of branding, then we’ll look at GLAAD’s branding as our case-study and lastly my advice as a member of the creative team in the past 6 months on GLAAD’s branding moving forward.
